The Mostra Communication Agency has been contracted by the European Commission to produce films about Natura 2000 sites. In September they came to Sweden and filmed with us and with Donald Eriksson (Aurora Borealis Adventures) in some tributaries and by the main river. You can see the film here:

The annual Stakeholder reference group meeting took place on December 19th. This year’s project work were reviewed, questions answered and tips and experiences were shared.

Our monitor, Inga Racinska, from the Astrale team, visited us on August 20-21. We then got the chance to show the latest restoration work performed in Joppträskbäcken and Giertsbäcken. We also visited two streams in which we have replaced timber floating splash dams with rapids.

A picture is worth a thousand words..? This may be true but they also have their limitations. We find it difficult to use regular photos to demonstrate the structural effects of stream restoration.
