The annual Norwegian Restoration Seminar in Oslo

On the 18th November, Johanna presented Vindel River LIFE’s work on a yearly Norwegian seminar in Oslo hosted by the the Norwegian Environment Agency), Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), and the Norwegian Water Association. This two-day event serves as a forum for networking where restoration knowledge and experience is exchanged. Most participants were Norwegians, but besides our project manager Johanna also Tom Buijse from the REFORM project, funded by the EU’s 7th Framework Program, was invited to give an international perspective on restoration.
Seminar participants also got the chance to participate on a very interesting guided tour along parts of Hovinbäcken, a stream which previously has been hidden below ground. Now large parts of it are reopened so it will run on the Surface through parts of Oslo. The day ended with a fantastic Norwegian Christmas plate at restaurant Lorry.

Thank you Anders Iversen (the Norwegian Environment Agency), Inger Staubo (the Norwegian Water Association), Per Einar Faugli and Knut Aune Hoseth (NVE) and the other organizers for a great meeting!
